Solution Focused Hypnotherapy in Bristol.
Hi I'm Jane and I'm currently a training as a Solution Focused Hypnotherapist at the Clifton Practice Hypnotherapy School in Bristol. I qualify in February 2021 and have now reached a point where I am practicing at student rates.
Solution Focused Hypnotherapy is a type of talking therapy that combines the use of psychotherapy with hypnosis. Hypnosis or trance is a very natural, relaxed state that we enter into several times a day. Ever taken a familiar car journey and realised that you don't remember landmarks and turnings along that way? That's a form of hypnosis.
Hypnosis in itself reduces anxiety and this is done very simply through relaxation and visualisation, allowing clients to focus on the positive aspects of their lives which encourages a shift in perspective.
I help clients with what they want to achieve rather than the problem(s) that prompted them to seek change. I ask the client to consider their preferred future, for instance, what would be better if the problem had improved? What would have changed? This enables possible solutions to become more apparent and worked towards.
Solution Focused Hypnotherapy can help with a wide range of issues. It can help with confidence and problems with self-esteem, plus depression and anxiety, panic attacks and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) respond well to treatment. Phobias such as spiders, water, flying and public speaking can also be minimised, along with painful memories and traumatic experiences.
Using structured, and well-researched strategies, I treat a wide range conditions in a completely safe and calming environment. Helping people make significant, positive changes in a relatively short period of time.
