We can all feel low from time to time, but extended periods of low mood can indicate you are suffering with depression. Depression can make it difficult for you to carry out day to day activities.

Common signs of depression can include:

  • A low mood, feelings of sadness and/or anger

  • A lack of energy

  • Loss of interest in activities that you used to enjoy

  • Difficulty concentrating

  • Feeling tired more easily/exhaustion

  • Lack of confidence

  • Sleep changes (sleeping more or less than usual, poor restorative sleep)

  • A change in eating habits (eating more or less than usual)

  • Feelings of guilt or that you are worthless

This is not an exhaustive list. You may not have all of these symptoms or find you have others not listed.

Clinical hypnotherapy is a powerful tool to help you manage and overcome your depression. We will work on a subconscious level, using techniques to identify and address a way forward, whilst offering powerful positive suggestions to break the cycle of negative thinking.

Rather than treat the symptoms of depression, hypnotherapy aims to tackle what triggers lead to your depression so you can unpick it and move on. It can be used on its own or alongside other forms of treatment.

Clinical hypnotherapy allows you to experience deep levels of relaxation and so helps to reduce levels of stress and anxiety. This can help boost feelings of confidence and self-belief while reducing feelings of fear and sadness. And as hypnosis is relaxing in itself it can have a powerful effect on disrupted sleep.

By working with a qualified, trained hypnotherapist, we can help reframe negative thoughts or beliefs, so reducing or eliminating symptoms of depression. Allowing you to feel like yourself again.
